Now
It's July 2026 and this is what I'm focused on at this point in my life.
What I'm up to at the moment
- Head of Content at Forest Green Rovers Football Club, that's the day job, it's pretty interesting. Eye-opening!
- Running a handful of side projects under Hutch Media Group alongside it. Some doing better than others. Few other bits & pieces going on too. Should probably work on my focus a bit.
- Trying to make exercise a non-negotiable. Mornings is the plan, doesn't always happen, still a work in progress and too many (glass) balls to juggle.
- Husband, dad to two young daughters, trying not to spend so much time securing their future that I miss actually being present for it. Constant balancing act and struggle.
Past life
A few different career phases; finance, then marketing, now something closer to content and entrepreneurship. My LinkedIn is here if that's your cup of tea.
AI's changed what's actually buildable for me, ideas I've sat on for years are finally happening.
Me and Claude spend a fair bit of time together these days. Total bromance. ❤️
Bit of authenticity
Somewhere in the middle of a midlife crisis, something a lot of people around my age experience.
Loads more light at the end of the tunnel than there was five years ago.

Why I'm writing this
Mostly for someone a couple of years behind me on a similar path.
Part journal, part thinking out loud, occasional vent.
Looking to share some cool stuff. Other people's mostly, not mine!
Randomness
- My First Million is on permanent rotation in my car, in a blooming parasocial relationship with my buddies Sam Parr and Shaan Puri at this point.
- All The Gear is appointment viewing, every Wednesday without fail. Convinced my wife to watch, she's now a bigger fan than me.
- Cycled Land's End to John o'Groats in nine days in 2022 for charity, part of the midlife crisis starter pack. Almost killed me and crippled me but I did it.
- Also ran marathons and long triathlons, seems a lifetime ago, struggling getting out of bed these days.
- I've met Donald Trump.
- I don't really have hobbies outside work and the kids. Probably should.
- I'm a bit obsessed with using AI to fix problems, build work tools, brain training games for my daughters, that kind of thing.
- Should probably be an AI consultant but seems a bit bandwagon-y and where all the sharks are currently lurking!
